How does integration with human chat work on Facebook Messenger?

If using an external human chat provider, it will appear as a button. The transfer can be a Pop-Up, an Open Chat, or it can trigger a user-owned form or a third-party form.

Open Chat Transfer: the transfer message will appear together with the button that opens the chat URL in a new window. This conversation will be considered a transfer even if the customer does not click on the button.

Open Pop Up Transfer: the transfer message will appear together with the button that opens the chat URL in a new window. The button text is customizable. This conversation will be considered a transfer even if the customer does not click on the button.

Note: it is not possible to send the conversation history held on Facebook Messenger.
