Nowadays, people with motor, sensory and cognitive difficulties are the most vulnerable to be left out of the rapid technological development. In order to promote easy access to digital content, the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) set out a series of guidelines to improve the experience for all users.
AgentBot has progressively integrated the practices suggested in WCAG 2 overview for the benefit of all users, particularly those with disabilities.
To enhance accessibility, we encourage our customers to consider best practices regarding configurable colors and images in MyAivo.
Some outstanding features:
About language:
The window specifies the language/region that by default the accessibility wizards or screen reader should handle when processing text.
Message identifier:
When navigating through the different bot messages (using the tab key), the accessibility wizards will identify the sender of the selected message by indicating whether it is "your message" or a "Bot message."
About feedback on sent messages:
After sending a message, the accessibility wizard is able to indicate that "response is expected".
About feedback on received messages:
After receiving a message, the wizard is able to indicate that a "new message" was received.
Other improvements:
When using the bot, the web assistant also identifies different elements such as buttons, lists and links giving a detailed description of how to interact with each of them.
