What is H323?

๐Ÿ‘‰H323 is a protocol, similar to SIP, designed for audio and visual communication over an IP network (VoIP, Internet Telephony, or IP Telephony) and for IP-based video conferencing.
โ˜This set of ITU standards for multimedia communications that refer to terminals, equipment, and services establishing signaling in IP networks does not guarantee the quality of service, and data transport may or may not be reliable.
๐Ÿ‘‰In turn, it is independent of the network topology and supports gateways, allowing the use of more than one channel of each type (voice, video, data) at the same time.
๐Ÿ‘ŒDue to these characteristics, Voice uses SIP, so in case of handling H323 and needing to implement Voice, you should find a way to integrate SIP with your telephone provider. ๐Ÿ‘‰More info
